Beijing Investment Promotion Event
Held in the City of London

On the afternoon of June 11th, 2024, the Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center, in collaboration with officials from four key districts, hosted the "Invest in Beijing: Winning the Future" promotional event in the City of London. This event highlighted the robust business environment of China’s capital and offered insights into its thriving economy.

Zhu Sheng, the Deputy Director of the Center, shared impressive statistics from the region, noting that Beijing's GDP climbed to $618.26 Billion USD in 2023, marking a 5.2% increase from the previous year. Additionally, Beijing welcomed 1,729 new foreign-funded enterprises in the last year, underscoring the city's appeal to international businesses.

Beijing is dedicated to enhancing its open economic policies. Recently, the city enacted new regulations to further optimize the foreign investment climate. Mr. Zhu emphasized that Beijing is uniquely positioned as both a national comprehensive demonstration zone for expanding service sector openness and a national free trade pilot zone, making it a pivotal hub for global commerce.

The event was well-attended, with participation from over 50 companies, reflecting a strong international interest in Beijing's business opportunities. We were grateful for the support from the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), HSBC, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), and Dentons, looking into the future, we continue to foster growth and facilitate fruitful collaborations in one of the world's most dynamic economic landscapes.
